Leggings, anyone?

Blogging has, one way or another, enabled me to meet new friends and one of which is Pauline. I met her around last year during the Love Diva bloggers event wherein I was one of the "younger sisters" of Ana Gonzales.

Right now, she just put up a business on her Tumblr and she's selling leggings --- in designs you could ever think of and they're fresh from Italy!

Happy leggings shopping! ;)

Ohohoho, we are sweet.

For the part 2 of the first of our Katipunan venture, we had our dessert ---or shall I say DESSERTS--- at the newly-opened Mom and Tina's Bakery & Cafe which was just two restaurants away from Moshi Moshi. They also have a branch in Pasig where it was full of customers everytime I pass by the place and left me curious of what this bakery/cafe was all about. Katipunan branch was not so different, in a positive way. How was it? Let's see... :)

Katipunan Night Out (パート1)

Life has taught me that when you miss people, you make an effort to see them or even communicate with them. In the present time, tweet them at the very least. That's why last Thursday, I was able to meet up with some of my co-interns at Pfizer. In short, clingy kami. We missed the rest of our co-interns, though.

Originally, the plan was to visit them at UP but on second thought, we decided to have it at Katipunan instead... have some dinner and catch up. Our first stop, which was our meet up place as well, was in Saint's Alp. I didn't order anything from there but I was able to taste the cookies 'n cream-ish drink. Though it was too sweet for me, it was good. The place's neat, I must say, and really cozy! Perfect for the rainy weather that night. (Oh, photoset from Saint's Alp can be found here.)

Latest online acquisitions

Ever since I got a whack of how internship feels like, particularly with the fact on what I should dress like in the office, I got back to online window shopping kind of thing again. Don't get me wrong. I like shopping but I decide on clothes like "Boom! Okay, I want that one". The thing is, I seldom tell that to myself. I get clothes, try them on and if I'm getting it, it's probably one of these two things: 1) I badly needed one or 2) just because I like it. Though... I think I prefer online shopping more than the actual mall shopping. It's just too... crowded. Okay, enough about the ranting.

Of bokeh, good company and Japanese food at Little Tokyo

Wished for a Japan tour but monetarily "disabled" (as of the moment) to go there? Well, here's what we did!

Peanut Butter Company Makati

Back in the day, peanut butter was seldom found outside the home as not an alternative to a bread-and-butter kind of breakfast other than an ingredient for kare-kare. Thanks to Peanut Butter Company, though, it gave a new impression on peanut butter!

Lovely CiTEA, new milk tea place in town

Milk tea stores have started up here and there long before I've even noticed it! There would be different milk tea flavors or even just the plain teas like of the jasmine, green, oolong and black teas.

De(slightly)stress.

The first days of my last year in school are finally over. Yay!! I'm stuck with five or so readings already, though. As for the time being, I'm taking a ~*break*~ from school works... for an hour. I still couldn't post the rest of my Chinatown trip with Nixie for the same reason --- school. Though hopefully I can post everything by this week!

One afternoon at the library.

My then plain orange notebook turned into this with some recycled magazines
and a magazine plastic cover. I must have been inspired by our Emerging Technologies professor
with "Imagination is the fruit of human creativity." Okay, what?

Of course, Happy Father's Day to every dad in the world!! :)

Four things to tell to our fathers as the priest imparted earlier in his homily:

Thank you.
I'm sorry.
I forgive you.
I love you.

Short ones but can mean everything.

PS: Shameless plug. Follow me on Instagram! (_franceslim)
/edit. Not really the best post for the month. Lol

Moonleaf Pioneer

To date, Pauline and I have made numerous plans of meeting each other after last sembreak's fun-slash-photoshoot with her and her friends but every plan failed. However, we finally saw each other again... with a new blogger friend, Cheska! Cheska and I have never met before and our Twitter conversations randomly just popped up when Pauline started to tweet us both. We missed you, Bei! :)

So to start off, we had this planned at the recently opened Moonleaf Pioneer at Globe Telecom Tower I near Robinson's Forums. It's in Mandaluyong. When I arrived there, both of them weren't there yet so I ordered an Apple Green Tea for P60, no sugar. You could say it tasted bitter is better for me. (No pun intended. Lol). While waiting, I took photos of random stuff around the Moonleaf branch. The signs caught my attention and I really liked the refreshing green color.

Minutes after they both arrived. We shared stories and had our early dinner. Much to my surprise, other than being Blogger bloggers, the three of us have another thing in common --- we have the same age!

Pauline and I.

Meet Cheska! :)

The Last of Summer in Chinatown

To add to the last memoirs of summer 2012, I ventured through the busy streets of Binondo-slash-Chinatown again but this time, with one of my good friends, Nixie. We purposely went there to have a taste of the food --- fried siopao, xiao long bao and some more! Although for now, I present to you a photoset of the street photos I took and with the editing, I guess I was inspired by Merphi's (1 || 2) recent trip to Taiwan. (She's one of the best photographers ever!)

Chinatown, Manila and Taiwan... not too far, eh?

We are family!

For the first time, I was the one who initiated a family get-together as the summer-ender for us students in the family since we're starting another school year this week! I'm excited to go back to school! Though I haven't had any back-to-school shopping yet. :(

It wasn't anything special but an intimate dinner. I think we filled the place with our voices, though. Haha! We decided to shift away from Asian cuisines for a while since we've been eating Chinese food mostly during the weekends. Anyway, we had our family summer-ender dinner at Shakey's in Cainta. There's already one there? Yep! They opened a new branch in the area and might as well say that fast food chains are starting to boom over the place.

Mojos and chicken! These really made my night! :)

...with garlic bread

This dish remains to be mysterious...

As usual, yung "nahiyang" slice. Lol

Desserts are served!

Vanilla sundae with that strawberry thing.

Plain raisin oatmeal cookie for me!

Boys in Chinatown... almost!

Photos above from Raniel Hernandez.

A week ago, an itinerary to Chinatown was set. It was only me and Raniel who originally planned about it then he invited some blockmates. Only two of them were "G!" about it hence, a photowalk-ish adventure commenced.

Snack Size

IMG_0825

Everything in this post feels and looks like snack size. In short, merienda. Internship has never been this fun with happy internmates and good food! :) Days ago I posted our very first lunch out at Banapple Ayala Triangle. This time, presenting one of our ordinary days at the pantry.

Of all the prominent milk tea places in metro, Moonleaf Tea Shop is be one of them. Their branches just keep on multiplying by the week. Just weeks ago, we were so thrilled of the news that Moonleaf was having a new branch in The Columns, Makati and to add more to the hype, it's near to our *coughs* office. However, we got disappointed that it only opened for a day! Eventually, we had the time to go out, finally, to buy a drink from there. It was actually my first time to ~*formally*~ enter a Moonleaf store since I tried it out before from a food bazaar. Anyway, we grabbed something from there and went straight to the pantry as some of us still had agendas to finish.

We also got to eat doughnuts from Cello's Doughnuts and Dips from their Taft branch c/o Tina. :) As usual, their products were the best! They have another branch over at Katipunan (and many others! Check out their site here.) so I suggest to go grab something from Cello's.
