Some of the very random emotional thoughts

In less than three hours, everything that happened in 2010 will only be found with memories.

The year 2010 was not a very ordinary time for me. There was an endless list of debut party invitations and sleepless nights for programming project among others. There were also decisions that has changed some things in me and opportunities that came along the way. Was it easy? No. Still, consequences that were considered and I was not one of the very few people who can weigh the pros and cons enough to not regret what I have said and done.

In this post will be the first time I shall pour my feelings out, the feelings of gratitude towards the people I have encountered in the year 2010. Old or new friends, it doesn't matter. Of course, there's also the down part.

1. The event that majorly inspired me was when I joined Technicolor. I never expected that I would dance again after 11 years. It started with an audition for the KPop Nation which happened last December 29. Coming from different schools, me and the other members had difficulty compromising with each other's schedules especially when we were already in the final round of practices. There were conflicts, issues that, at first, seemed very hard to resolve but teamwork saved it all. For now, I can't put into words what I feel but one thing's I'm definitely sure of: everything that has happened were planned and this was also a way of reconnecting with the other batchmates I have lost in touch with for the past year.

Dream Concert (KPOP Nation) is the best memorable event of my 2010. Those three months were hard, tiring and unpredictable mainly because of the conflicting schedules of each member. I know I'm not the best dancer in the group but THANK YOU for each one of you who never lost faith in me. The hard times may be tough but..., see, we've made it 'til the concert itself and danced our best. I<3Technicolor!

2. During the half of 2010, everytime I go to debut parties, I got unnecessarily tired of attending. One reason may be because I had to give gifts for every party especially when I was part of a program. Nevertheless, it's also the best feeling to see friends smile and shine during one of their moments in their lives.

3. My grandfather passed away last year of January 15. We celebrated his 1st this year. Thinking back of who my grandfather was when he was still alive, he was one of the very few people who'll do their best to make their loved ones happy even though his health was already deteriorating. When he was in the States, only with his dormmates, he'd call us to ask what we want for Christmas, our birthdays and many other special occassions. What I fully regret is not appreciating most of it but I know, wherever he is, I know that he's happy watching over us.

4. The first semester of the university life was the hardest yet I have encountered. Yes, there are still more challenging ones that will come. Last semester, I nearly had a breakdown. Depression? No. It's just that desperation to pass a major. Although I'm already in my second year as a college student, frankly, I'm still not adjusted to professors not teaching very important subject. Another thing was I'm still in doubt of why I'm actually taking IT, a course preference I never planned in my life. I've thought numerous times of quitting and leaving but what I did was to push myself to achieve the goal --- to graduate. It was very hard, indeed, but tears saved me.

This is all I could think of right now in this very short break with compiled schoolworks clogging my brains. This shouldn't stop me from enjoying a very worthwhile with the family under a colorful nightsky.

Time may change, memories don't.
Have a blasting happy new year, everyone!

Darren Criss and Chinese Food

Who the hell is Darren Criss? Some of you may recognize him as the cute, gay friend of Kurt from Glee named Blaine. Yes, he may be cute but, definitely, he isn't gay in real life.

Last night, he held his second show in TriNoma wherein he sang around 8-9 songs and provided its accompaniment. Indeed, he's very talented. He both played the guitar and piano during the around 1 and a half hour show which started at 7 PM.

May I add, though, that he sounded like a bit of John Mayer... and somehow looks like Justin Timberlake in this photo:

He does, doesn't he? :">

I'll just post a number of photos here and rant about how the day went yesterday.

Earlier that day, I had a Technicolor practice and it ended at around 5:30PM. On my way there, I panicked 'cause it was already 6:30, just 30 minutes before the show itself and Nixie was already arguing with the TriNoma lady because "no seat reservations are allowed" or whatever. The show started 10 minutes after I arrived and everyone was anticipating Darren Criss' entrance. He looks really nice, personality-wise, in my opinion. Haha.

Anyways, there we had dinner after the event at Mey Lin. I'm telling you, don't ever eat there if you're to hungry to talk. Why? There were around 4 members of their crew last night and upon the entering the restaurant, Nixie and I had really good vibes because we were craving for noodles and decided to go there expecting to be served like... you know, customers. Man, we were wrong. We called, like, all of the crew and then the who seemed to look like the franchise owner gave us this pencil to check our orders in the sheet of paper where the menu was found. The prices were different between the paper and the "laminated" menu itself so we, again, called for some crew members for a few times. Finally, it was cleared up and we got our orders.

Finally, we got the food that we wanted but since we shared only a large bowl of noodles, we expected them to give us 2 bowls. That moment annoyed me out of my wits. We were only asking the person who served us to give 2 damn bowls but it took us, AGAIN, to call for a second crew member. After, we asked them if they had house tea because they NEVER served us one. You see, Chinese restaurants like these SHOULD and AUTOMATICALLY serve their customers tea before eating. Pardon me but I never experienced such a low quality service like this from a restaurant before. Plus, the girl whom we asked for a million of times --- from our orders to the house tea --- was spending lots of freaking times at that table where guys were seated. Talk about being a... never mind.

Good thing, though, it all ended quite nicely and just let it slip away before we even search the mall for Nixie's friend.

You Better Run, Run, Run, Run.

More than 2 weeks ago, we decided to have some fun with a photoshoot for our so-called "fanpage" over in Facebook. (Become a fan?) I tried to be cute for the supposed-to-be childish concept but, obviously, I failed more than I expected :( And here are the results!

Group pictures can't just go missing ♥

Then, last week, our block Christmas party after our school's University Sports Day where I sweated it all out :DD I joined the fun run, volleyball and aero-marathon! However, I ate too much during the party itself that it was of no use! I have to refrain from eating anymore sweets... if I can help it.

Moving on, for the kris kringle, I decided to get Irmay one of the things in her wishlist: a pair of flats. Frankly, though, I wasn't confident about my gift 'cause, maybe, it's not shiny enough? Haha! Anyway, what I got (from Renee! :D) was an adorable, sporty shirt and two slice of bluberry cheesecake from Mozu (see the cake from the previous post, it's one of them).

I'm worrying less about school work this time 'cause we still have to practice for the 29th! (Watch us, please?) Besides, it's holiday season! I can't have to do all the work, can I?

PS Thank you, Cy Castro, Jec Canaberal, Ate Kat Manalon and Raniel Hernandez for the photos :)

Food First!

Feels like been a long time since my last post here. When was it? December 2? Two weeks! I guess if my blog could even scream at me, it would for abandoning him.

How did the past weeks go, though? Well, for one, I ate a gazillion of sweets and food in place of a very sporty day last Wednesday.

Anyways, here are some nice Chinese food from North Park in TriNoma! I swear, they have an awesome menu next to Gloria Maris. Hahaha :P

(Sorry for the LQ photos, those were just taken using my phone.)

Rihanna..hanna...hanna. Hey!

Guess what I got from the post office today! A photo book which I won from @RihannaDiario, a Twitter fan account for Rihanna based in Texas! Winning this was actually a bit of a shock a few months ago, I guess, since I only tried my luck on getting it.

Here are some pictures I was able to randomly take earlier :)
