What Makes It Hard...

to be a KPop fangirl?

Apparently, Rain will be coming on September 11 here in the Philippines to have a major concert. (Shame on you if you don't know him and haven't watched any Full House episode EVER) U-Kiss will be returning here for the third time already with him. Too bad, though, that MBLAQ isn't the "surprise guest." Everyone was like expecting them already since they're under Rain's entertainment agency, JTune. Frankly speaking, what convinced me to watch his concert was the fact that MBLAQ is coming and so is Lee Joon! But he won't. *cries* I'll just stick to Kiseop in the mean time.

Next stop is Jay Park's upcoming fanmeeting on October 3rd.

I just wish God will pour money upon me... and all of his people D:

October 23rd marks Singapore's KPop Night which will be such an EPIC concert which will feature 6 AWESOME Korean groups: Big Bang, FT Island, SNSD, Infinite, SHINee and DNA! I was wondering, though, since it's our semestral break around that time... what if I go there?

No, I'll just dream and let it fade away. Lalala~~

Last but not the least, the Super Show 3 here in Manila!

There still aren't official announcements of what ticket prices will be but I feel assured that they won't be higher than last year's. Thanks to its organizer.

Anyway, I'm still thinking about how I would be REALLY noticeable at that concert. Maybe I should put an outrageous glow-in-the-dark pink wig so that even if it's dark, they'll have their eyes fixed on me, what do you think?

PS: I'm thinking of shifting to Wordpress...

Reunited

Paula, Mai, Me and Jessica

Yayyy! These pictures were during the debut of our fresh and long-lost friend, Leslie Mape, here in the Philippines. She wasn't in any of the pictures. Haha! But with us is her cousin, Mai, who's a pure Japanese. We couldn't talk to her the whole time but due to our persistence and want to do so, we communicated through the Japanese words we know like arigato, sushi, Shun Oguri and Arashi. She didn't know anyone with the name of Yamapi, though. We laughed the whole time we were together. Sorry, language barrier, you lose! :-bd

It is really nice meeting a friend again after 5 years. It's one of the most overwhelming emotions I could ever had.

Excuse me for me left eye's eyeliner if ever you've noticed. It was...

Life of an IT student

My current problem set which wasn't so complicated if I analyzed it more >.>
Anyway, thanks to my tutor for the help although it was more likely to be failure on my side but... thank you, EJ (since we have the same tutor for this) for sharing this to me a while ago.

Now, let's move it to our Networking midterms... where was I?

KPop and Culture Fest (Caution: Picture heavy)

Last Sunday, I joined thousands of KPop fans all over the metro in the first ever KPop and Culture Event brought by the Jjang Events. The event itself did not only consist of the simple gatherings these fans but there were contests such as the Uljjang Contest, Fanchant Contest and KPop Idol Contest among others. In addition, there were Korean food eating contest which I would love to join but since I'm one of the media staff of DKP which covered the event, I had no choice but to watch them savor the foods that were prepared for them.

Anyway, cosplayers were also present and there were very talented groups who performed like their favorite KPop artists. There was Taeyang, 2NE1, One Way, 2PM, Beast and Girls Generation wannabes who were in their awesomely designed costumes as well.

Its success was made remarkable by the number of attendees during that day. Tickets were sold out as early as 4 PM! The organizers became even more cautious with the infrastructure's stability that day... that Megatrade Hall A might make the 5th floor of SM Megamall collapse.

Here are some fan booths that were present. I wasn't able to take good pictures of them all 'cause LOTS of people were strolling around at the same time as I was.

Super Junior United Philippines!

Infinite PH! They have the best poster, imo.

F.Cuz PH!

A.N.Jell PH!

Lee Minho PH!

2PM PH! (Sorry, Chansung's hella dark here)

With the hosts Jinsoo Choi and Daniw de Leon

The Kpop and Culture event surely is the most anticipated event of KPop lovers in the midyear! Let's all look forward to its part 2 ;)

(Maybe next time, I'll cosplay too? Oops.)

The pin certainly caught my attention :)

PS: Thank you, DKP, for giving me this opportunity!

Untitled thoughts

I wanna share with you about what I've been up to lately.

First, I applied for the Daily KPop News team and fortunately, I got in! I think it's going to be my way of leisure time when I'm at home and not busy. Life's too short anyway for thinking about problems that shouldn't take much of my time. Anyway, for the first days, I was really having a hard time coping up with the authors 'cause I felt everything that I posted was just reposts and I tend to be "scolded" online because of it. As time went by, though, I learned everything what I needed to do. Yes, I still make mistakes but that's just a part of it.

Like what I posted in our meeting room, I really learned a lot of things. I taught myself to be more responsible in what I do by having to check the posts that have already been posted on the site. Another thing is my organization of time. I didn't know how I was supposed to look for news-worthy articles but the good thing is I found resources. I'm grateful I was the one who looked for them. These sources aren't going to look for me. It's just like I have to chase time, not time chasing me.

On another note, this time I'll teach myself to be more optimistic (not that I'm a pessimistic!) with work and looking at the brighter side. Unlike what I used to, being easily down because of stress and more low-leveled depressing stuff, I'm in for more work and business!

Second is that I felt really great after a major Biology test. In short, our midterms. Before the test itself, I was determined to be exempted from the final test more than anything. Though it's REALLY hard for me to get rid of my laziness, thank God for my self-inspiration. It was the first time that I woke up at 3 in the morning to study and eat hopia for breakfast. I think, sometimes, that I am a descendant of Doraemon with that fetish for eating hopia anytime of the day. Anyway, I felt like such a smart person after studying but at present I think I have 5 mistakes in the test (2 of it were 2 points each). Hahaha! So much for perfection but what I needed is a grade of 88 for me to fulfill my greatest wish for now: exemption from the finals!

The third part is about a busy weekend! In the morning, I need to get to Mall of Asia for Graphika Manila and then for a requirement, I have to go out of my way to go to WNCAA Opening at 12 NN and get back to SMX and stay there 'til 5. At 7 PM, I'm going to attend a long-gone friend's debut in Quezon City. Honestly, I felt really excited about her remembering her friends here in the Philippines. It was, like, 5 years after we saw each other before she went to States. It's just such a nice feeling.

As for the last part of this week's weekend, the KPop and Culture Fest which is a very great opportunity to meet my co-authors in DKP and befriend them at the same time.

Worrisome thoughts begone!

No Other Way...

...except for One Way!

Frankly, I was not a fan of them... before I watched them live at SM Megamall. Straight after coming from school 'cause of our tiring yet very accomplishing medical mission for the school staff yesterday, I wasn't in the mood to go home.

The first thing I thought of was to watch One Way since I'd love to see them in person like I felt when Beast, U-Kiss, SHINee and other KPop stars went here. The only difference, though, was that they weren't idols. One Way has yet to establish their name in the industry... most likely in Korea first.

Even though the show itself was an hour (almost!) delayed, Chance, Peter and Youngsky were really awesome and enthusiastic to see their fans here. Much more was their too much fan service! Too bad, though, I was a level higher to the stage they were performing on.

Meet Young Sky...

Peter, the great tap dancer...

...and, Chance, the leader!

(...I fell in love with their smooth voices ♥)
